FRATERNITY
Because you can't UNFRIEND Brotherhood
Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization in the world. Its origins can be traced to the stonemasons and cathedral builders of Medieval times. Today, Freemasonry remains a vital force in the daily lives of millions of men across the globe.
Thousands of men join the ranks of Freemasonry every year through local Freemason Lodges. They are men who value honour and integrity, practice charity and are willing to commit themselves to pursuing these values further.
A Freemason is a man who has taken an obligation to uphold our timeless principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Beyond these basics, being a Freemason means so much more.
Hudson Lodge No. 98 of the Grand Lodge of Quebec was established in 1922 in Hudson by a group of men who believed in these principles and wanted a local Lodge where they could regularly meet. For more than 100 years, we have worked to help men better themselves and have been an important participant in the fabric of life for the Town of Hudson and surrounding areas. 2022 was a special year as we celebrated 100 years of Freemasonry in Hudson and further illustrated the importance of our relationship with the Town of Hudson.
Hudson Lodge works to support local community groups such as Nova Hudson and Le Pont Bridging among other worthy causes.
When you are initiated into Freemasonry, you begin your journey toward becoming a better man. You will build rich, meaningful relationships with your Brothers, commit to the service of those around you, and strive for a deeper, more honest connection with yourself and others. It's a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.
It's also important to understand that, once in our craft, you will belong to a family of Freemasons scattered around the world. All of whom will welcome your visit if you are in their area. This is an experience that cannot be duplicated by any other organization in the world.
